The Bike to work 2018 report can be summarised as 203 teams, 710 participants, 231’295 kilometres covered and 33,307 kg of CO2 emissions avoided. A 14th edition that breaks a new record!

 

Since 2005, EPFL has been inviting students and staff to bike from home to the campus during May and June. Cycling contributes to physical and mental well-being, while respecting the environment.

 

Bike to Work is an action to promote cycling in a team spirit and fun. In 2018, 2,214 companies with a combined total of 64,680 people took part in the contest. Each year, the number of participants increases and this growth is very positive and encouraging.
